Worship Director

Summary of Position:

The Worship Director is responsible to build & lead teams of creative individuals to create compelling worship settings at Hopewell Church that inspire people to engage with God.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train and build vocal and instrumental teams by identifying, developing and shepherding volunteers to grow in their gifts and abilities to lead the church in corporate
  • Develop the order of service for all corporate gatherings, which includes “set lists” and all “body-life” This is done in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and the Sunday production team.
  • Utilize Planning Center Online so lyrics and music are collated and distributed to worship team members several days before
  • Schedule musicians and sound techs for all rehearsals, services and special
  • Schedule and conduct all vocal and instrumental
  • Assist and/or oversee the development of worship teams in other ministry environments within the church, including youth and
  • Lead Platform Design
  • Create and maintain the worship
  • Lead worship as
  • Oversee stage design and sanctuary
  • Other responsibilities may be added to the job description, such as audio or lighting, pending training or existing skill
Candidate should be proficient & confident in the following areas:
  • Experience with musical arrangement is
  • Experience with backing tracks is
  • Taking initiative by providing vision & leadership for the worship
  • Strategic thinker and able to engage in creative & innovative
  • Embraces ministry that allows space for the spiritual gifts (ex. healing, words of wisdom, faith and knowledge, prophetic, ).
  • Passionate, relevant and engaging communication skills (1:1, team, groups).
  • Strong organizational skills for growing, mobilizing, and maintaining a strong and effective team and Able to manage large or complex systems for large church environments.

  • Possesses education, training or the equivalent of education and experience that has provided adequate preparation for this

Salary/Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed later in the interview process. Benefits include PTO and professional expense allowances. The compensation package is evaluated on an annual basis.
