JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastor to lead our vibrant, well established non-denominational evangelical church with a Pentecostal / Charismatic heritage. The lead pastor is currently in place, having served and nurtured the church and its growth for 30 years.   With our mission, vision and values firmly in place, the ideal candidate will be committed to fostering continued spiritual growth, community outreach, and developing the church for the next generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Spiritual Leadership:  Provide inspirational preaching and teaching that align with evangelical and Pentecostal doctrines, focusing on the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

– Pastoral Care:  Offer counseling, support, and guidance to church members, ensuring pastoral care for congregants in times of need.

– Worship and Services:  Oversee the planning and execution of regular worship services, prayer meetings and special events like revivals or conferences.

– Community Engagement:  Develop and maintain community outreach programs, evangelistic efforts, and partnerships with local groups to extend the church’s impact.

– Team Leadership:  Manage and mentor church staff and volunteer teams, including   worship leaders, youth pastors and administrative personnel.

– Administrative Duties:  Work with church leadership to manage the church’s operations, budget, and strategic planning.

– Teaching and Discipleship:  Implement programs for biblical education, discipleship, and spiritual maturity among all age groups within the congregation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Ordained minister, or one seeking ordination, with a five fold ministry gifting and a strong background in evangelical and Pentecostal theology

– Demonstrated experience in leading a church or ministry, preferably with a minimum of two years in a pastoral role.

– Must meet the qualifications of an elder as set forth in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.

– Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.

– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively manage church staff and volunteers.

– Theological education from a recognized seminary or Bible college is preferred.

– Commitment to personal spiritual growth and a lifestyle that exemplifies Christian values.

COMPENSATION:

– Competitive salary of $60 -$70 K, based on experience.

– Benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan contributions and housing allowance.
