Part-Time Media Arts Director

Summary:  New Hope Fellowship Church (NHF – newhopenewyork.org) in East Bloomfield, NY is seeking to hire a part-time Media Arts Director. Non-denominational with charismatic roots, we are part of the Radiant Network of Churches (radiant.network). We have a thriving Worship & Media community seeking to advance in our calling as a light to the region. Our next Media Arts Director will be passionate for Christ, technically skilled, an equipper of others, systems-minded, and driven to keep NHF Media current and continually moving forward.

Working directly with the Lead Pastor to develop vision and identify priority advancement areas, the Media Arts Director will lead the Media Arts Department including sound, lighting, livestream, presentation software with potential for some graphic, video, web work based on skill set. Our Director will set the spiritual tone for the team, imparting the values and practice of worship and community through Media Arts.

Primary Responsibilities:  Recruit, on-board, train, and schedule volunteer teams in the media ministry.
Lead and manage the areas of sound, livestream, presentation, and lighting during NHF services and gatherings.
Oversee recording and uploading of services, special events, and AV productions to Facebook, YouTube, etc.
Maintain operation of current equipment.
Proactively identify areas needing improvement and lead/delegate implementation of those changes
Engage with the NHF community and in the staff team.

Required Skills/Attributes:  Experienced with the use of technology in worship services such as lighting, worship software, sound systems, video projection, etc.
A leader and team player – NHF is passionate about functioning in healthy leadership and empowered teams.
Problem-solver and self-motivated learner. When technical issues arise, the Media Director will be responsible to research and diagnose the problem and collaborate with the team to identify solutions.
Strong proficiency and aptitude with software, computers, electronics, and technology.

Job Type: Part-time – flexible schedule!

Pay negotiable depending on experience

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bloomfield, NY 14469
