Role and Responsibilities
The Short-Term Trip Coordinator (STTC), working closely with and reporting to the Assistant Director of Global Ministries (GMAD), is primarily responsible for coordinating and administering all short-term mission trips (domestic and international) sent out by Elim Fellowship.
Working with Dream World Outreach (DWO) and Next Gen to develop and plan meaningful and impactful short-term mission trips each year.
Coordinate and ensure the timely, high-quality execution of all programming pre-trip training, including the DWO 2-½-day Mission Ready pre-trip training and Next Gen pre-trip training.
Coordinate and ensure the timely implementation of all aspects related to short-term trips:
– Budgeting
– Travel-planning (transportation, visas, vaccination requirements, etc.)
– Required legal forms (minor travelers, health, general release)
– Ministry programming
– Communication with Hosts
– Communication with DWO participants
– Debrief
– Oversee the application process, working with prospective participants from inquiry through acceptance.
– Develop and maintain a Short-Term Trips procedures manual (updating as necessary)
– Develop promotional materials (literature and digital)
– Recruiting and tabling at events as needed
– Recruit and manage teams of volunteers.
Qualifications, Education, and Other Requirements
– Committed Christian
– A commitment to take Elim Fellowship credentials (minimum Christian Workers)
– International missions experience preferred (short-term or long term)
– Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
– High-level organizational skills
– Basic computer usage skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and a familiarization with project management tools.
– Ability to work in a team and independently
– Self-motivated – able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks well
– At least a high-school diploma, some college preferred
