General Description:
We are looking for someone to serve as an integral part of our Family Ministry Team (Family Ministry Pastor, Youth Pastor, Kids Pastor, and Preschool Coordinator), which is intentionally designed to work together in our focus to serve & love on the families of Bethel and the surrounding communities. Your role in this team will focus on the outreach & discipleship of middle & high school students.
What you will be doing:
➢ Recruit, equip, develop, & engage youth leaders in our development of the youth ministry & activities
➢ Give oversight to the screening of potential youth leaders
➢ Envision, design, and lead a strong & balanced ministry to middle & high school students as part of the greater Family Ministry Team
➢ Cultivate relationships with leaders, students, and parents
➢ Encourage youth involvement in “service” to the church in some capacity
➢ Plan & coordinate weekly youth meetings
➢ Plan & coordinate ongoing youth activities, retreats, missions trips, etc.
➢ Plan outreach & missions events for students
➢ Work with the Family Ministry Pastor to develop the annual Youth Ministry Budget
Experience, Skills, and Requirements:
➢ A commitment to personal growth & discipleship as part of the BCF family, and one that sets an example for others and attracts people to become followers of Christ
➢ 2+ years experience working in a leadership role with youth
➢ Strong organizational and communication skills
➢ A demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, motivate, and direct people in accomplishing goals & activities
➢ Possess the ability to use appropriate judgment, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality
Hours:
This is an exempt, part-time position at 10 – 15 hours per week
Schedule is flexible, but in person work location is preferred on Tuesdays
Youth Group meets on Wednesday nights
Pay: $9,360 – $16,380 / year
