We have been praying for the right person to eventually take the church over as the lead elder.  We are an inner city church located in the south part of St. Louis.  Opening is for someone who has a call and burden for the inner city and personally  I can’t think of any other place that is more exciting and fulfilling than a church in an inner city neighborhood like Zion.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Learn to lead, feed and protect the flock at Zion City Church.  This would consist of spending time with the current lead elder, Pastor Rick Hunter.  Additional responsibilities include, hospital/home visitation, preaching, teaching, evangelism, and serving the body of Christ at Zion.

The applicant will initially be required to have a second income source in addition to the stipend provided by the church.

QUALIFICATIONS;  To be part of a team of elders who are servant leaders at Zion.  To be licensed and/or ordained to preach the gospel.  (Zion can ordain ministers.) To have a desire for world missions along with a heart to minister to those in the inner city. Most importantly, that this position will fulfil God’s will and call on their life.
