Gateway Community Church is seeking a faithful, compassionate, and community-minded Senior Pastor to lead and shepherd our congregation as our longtime pastors transition into retirement.
About the Church
Gateway Community Church has been faithfully served for the past 20 years by Pastors Altha and Larry Weidman. Through their dedicated leadership, the church has remained a steady and caring presence in the Gloversville community.
Our congregation is primarily older and deeply values biblical teaching, pastoral care, and strong relational leadership. As our pastors prepare to move closer to their children and grandchildren, we are prayerfully seeking the next shepherd God is preparing to lead our church into this new season.
Position Overview
The Senior Pastor will provide:

Biblically sound preaching and teaching

Pastoral care and visitation

Spiritual leadership and vision for the congregation

Support during a thoughtful and caring leadership transition

Community engagement and outreach development
